Meet Logan Monson

My name is Logan Monson, as a dedicated advocate for the heart of Utah's rural communities I am excited for this opportunity to serve Utah's House District 69. With a rich tapestry of experiences and a deep-rooted commitment to family and the rural way of life, I stand as a voice representing the values and needs of our district.

A Commitment to Community:

As a nurse administrator and an RN with years of experience serving in a rural remote area, I've witnessed firsthand the challenges and unique requirements of our communities. This insight fuels my dedication to finding sustainable solutions for health care and mental health awareness, ensuring that essential healthcare services reach every corner of our district.

My devotion to family echoes through my personal life. As a husband to my wife Sara, who has been an educator for over 12 years, and a father of four children, I understand the critical importance of supporting our educational systems. Family values are not just words but the very fabric of my life, underpinning my vision for a community where families flourish.

Roots in Rural Tradition:

Coming from a multigenerational livestock-producing family, I deeply value our rural heritage. The joy of raising animals, riding horses, and engaging in outdoor recreation, including hunting, is not just a hobby but an integral part of our way of life. I have been directly involved in running the local Junior Livestock program for over a decade, as well as helping my dad start and run a local meat processing business. Fostering a love for agriculture and nurturing the next generation's interest in our rural roots is key to our future well being.

Proven Leadership and Experience:

With a track record of public service, including roles on the City Council and currently as the Mayor of Blanding, I have a comprehensive understanding of the issues and concerns facing our community. Serving on multiple boards such as the Olene Walker Housing Board, Utah League of Cities and Towns, UAMPS Board of Directors, and the School Community Councils, I've demonstrated a commitment to driving positive change and growth. I have been able to develop key relationships that will allow me to hit the ground running.

A Strong Voice for Rural Utah:

The challenges and changes impacting our district directly affect my young family and our community. I understand the necessity for rural Utah voices to be heard loud and clear, ensuring that our values and needs are not overlooked. I am passionate about amplifying these voices, ensuring that the unique requirements of our rural communities are addressed and prioritized.

I am committed to leveraging my expertise, experience, and genuine concern for the welfare of our district to represent you. Together, let us build a stronger, more resilient future for rural Utah. I am that unwavering voice for our district, dedicated to making a difference and securing a prosperous tomorrow for us all. Thank you for your support.
